Florida Bi-Directional Amplifiers and Distributed Antenna Systems
Having issues with your in-building wireless network? We can help!
In-building systems require a unique approach, and there are several special factors that need to be taken into consideration. These include the materials used in construction, dead spots in certain areas, and signal interference from surrounding installations.
Any of these can cause your network to fail. When that happens, not only will your staff and customers get upset, but the lack of coverage could create serious safety issues.
What sort of safety issues?
In an emergency, a lack of signal can cause first responders, medical teams, the police, and firefighters to lose communication. This could put lives at risk.
What can we do about it?
The team at EMCI has the expertise and technical knowledge to assess your in-building situation, strengthen the signal and bring your network up to standard.
Safety and Legal Liability
Did you know that in Florida, specific safety rules apply to certain buildings?
Our experts can advise on this and check to see if your in-building coverage complies with the law. If it doesn’t, we can install a radio signal booster (BDA or DAS) in line with Florida’s fire and safety regulations, as well as the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
What sort of radio signal booster solutions can you provide?
We have a full range of options that are suitable for in-building wireless networks.
Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS)
These comprise a network of antennas that can send and receive signals to improve connectivity.
A DAS doesn’t generate a signal, it just dispenses it, so it needs a signal source like a BTS (base transceiver station). When a DAS receives a signal, it then distributes it throughout the building.
DAS are often used in conjunction with Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDA) to ensure full coverage, especially in high-rise and larger buildings.
BDA’s can be used in concrete, metal, and underground structures. They are an excellent choice for mission-critical and public safety operations.
We can also supply two-way radio repeaters, combiners, and antennas to further enhance radio frequency (RF) coverage and safety.
Whatever your signal issues, we can work with you to improve the situation and make your premises compliant.
